PearAI is an open-source AI code editor designed to bring the most useful AI coding tools into one cohesive workspace. Instead of juggling separate extensions and web apps, PearAI curates integrations across the AI coding stack so you can move from idea to implementation, debugging, and scaling without leaving your editor. The goal is a unified, developer-friendly experience where chat, search, agents, memory, and autocomplete work together on the same codebase and context.

At the center is PearAI Chat, built on Continue, which understands your repository context and helps with explanations, refactors, and inline code changes. When you need fresh information beyond your project, PearAI Search (powered by Perplexity) pulls in up-to-date web knowledge to support research, dependency decisions, and implementation details. For more hands-off assistance, PearAI includes an AI Coding Agent (powered by Roo Code / Cline) that can generate code, tackle repetitive tasks, and help fix bugs by iterating on your project files.

PearAI also adds a memory layer through Mem0 to personalize the experience over time—remembering preferences, conventions, and recurring project context—so suggestions become more consistent as you work. For speed and flow, Supermaven powers fast autocomplete, helping you write code with fewer interruptions. On top of that, PearAI Router helps choose the most suitable model for a given task, and the editor offers a “Pear AI Model” option aimed at providing access to strong models via a single subscription. more
